Sunday 7th - Christchurch Cathedral - Concordia at 12noon

Thursday 11th - Christchurch Cathedral - Stockhausen (documentary film) at 8pm

Saturday 13th - Christchurch Cathedral - Hymn to Gaia by Eric Sweeney at 8pm

The Big Parade!! - St. Patricks Day Wednesday 17th March, Parade starting approx 11am,   This years theme for the parade is "Looking through the Glass"  and You have the choice of midweek offers or both weekends either side of the big day.

Mothers Day - Sunday 14th March - Special Overnight Rate available with Dinner as a treat for the 'Best Mum Ever'

Sunday 14th - Christchurch Cathedral - 12 noon - Liberty Christian Choral (USA) & The De La Salle Senior Choir

The Sean Dunne Writers Festival takes place from Thursday 18th March to Sunday 21st March, This year's festival features an exciting line up of poets, writers and journalists. Events range from a literary breakfast, comedy, poetry readings, workshops, sports writing debate to performance poetry with jazz.

Sunday 21st - Christchurch Cathedral - Katherine Hunka - Violin, Dermot Dunne- Accordian, at 12 noon 

Waterford New Music Week - Monday 22nd to Saturday 27th, The festival programme includes an education and outreach programme, masterclasses, workshops and concerts. The festival is inclusive and open to all.

Friday 26th March - Traditional Irish Music - The Church, Patrick Street - Imagine Festival Presents - Martin Hayes and Denis Cahill - Doors open 7.45pm with Support band also.   Tickets available from BPM Records or the Imagine Festival Comittee

Festival of Architecture - Celebration of work from Waterford born architect John Roberts 1714-1796 - Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th.   Celebrate the art and heritage of everyday architecture, with children's workshops, talks, tours, concerts and exhibitions.

May 2010

Waterford Seafaring Festival of Music and Song - Friday 28th May to Sunday 30th May. With groups to attend from Norway, Denmark, France, Germany , Holland and UK.     Waterford Seafaring Festival of Music and Song will be a very colourful and exciting festival, a whole weekend of song, music and colour....with the possibility of many more exciting events.

Racing in Tramore - Friday 29th May (E) and Saturday 30th May

June 2010 - Opening of the New Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre and Factory -  The New Waterford Crystal Prestige Manufacturing Facility will exclusively produce approximately 40,000 hand crafted high end pieces using traditional methods for our most discerning customers and for the thousands of visitors who will visit the new centre.

June 5th to 12th - Around Ireland 2010 - Offshore Powerboat Race - 800 miles, 200 crew, 50 boats, 5 days, 4 stages.     Wednesday 9th June arrival into Waterford from Bangor, Thursday 10th June - Waterford Lay Day - giving the boats a change to repair, revive and enjoy the hospitality and also for the city of Waterford to enjoy the shortcourse racing spectacle on the day.....Friday 11th departure to Fenit...

Thursday 2nd - Sunday 4th -  'Spraoi in the Park' Exciting new festival in Waterford City - even better news is that it is Straight Across the Road from us in the Peoples Park.   A three day event of entertainment for the family ending with a Spectacular parade on Sunday. 

Explore the Wonders of Waterford City and the surrounding areas - familiarise yourself with the city itself by taking a guided Walking Tour with Mr Jack Burtchaell,  enjoy a visit to the Waterford Museum of Treasures after which you could amble over to the Municpal Art Gallery and stroll down the quays for a look around  the infam Reginalds Tower.

15 minutes of a drive you could be enjoying the beautiful fishing village of Dunmore East or walking the sandy beaches of Woodstown, Tramore and boatstrand.

August 2010

'Waterford Spraoi Festival' - brings the city alive over a 3 day period of the August Bank Holiday Weekend, 30th July to 21st August with is colourful and spectacular street entertainment programme and its super finale of a fantastic fireworks display.

August Racing Festival - Tramore -  Thursday 12th(E) - Flat, Friday 13th(E)- National Hunt, Saturday 14th (E) - Flat , Sunday 15th August - National Hunt.       This 4 day event promises entertainment on and off the track with Live Music, Ceili Events, Style Evening and Family Day on Sunday.   An event not to be missed.

Dunmore East 13th International Bluegrass Festival - 3 day bluegrass music festival from 28th, 29th, 30th August  Irelands largest free music festival with a line up of international and irish Bluegrass acts.

September 2010

3rd September Iverk Agricultural Show, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny 20 minutes drive - one of the largest agricultural shows in the country, the show is a family day out with pleanty of entertainment for the children.

Waterford Harvest Food Festival is a series of events celebrating our food heritage and culture.   Friday 10th to Sunday 12th the Slow Food Ireland and Waterford City Council have joined forces to offer you an opportunity to celebrate our food heritage and culture whilst experiencing an exciting range of culinary delights from across the county and the wider island.

Waterford Fringe Festival is multi-disciplinary Arts Festival - Friday 17th to Monday 27th.    A varied programme of visual art, comedy & drama, featuring an exciting mix of International and local artists, drama, including Irish Premieres of overseas work, music, comedy and special fun and family events, 

Bulmers Comedy Festival @ Revolution - Thursday 23rd - Sunday 26th.   The Best of Irish Comedy featuring PJ Gallagher, Neil Delamere, Jason Byrne and many more, all @ Revolution Comedy Festival.

22nd - 31st October ' IMAGINE' festival - IMAGINE is a unique celebration of the arts in Waterford city, providing an opportunity for everyone to experience and participate in a broad range of creative arts.
The festival includes theatre, music, literature, comedy, visual arts, dance and film. Imagine also has children's events and aims to be both innovative and fun.
